About Amy
I’m a Registered Social Worker who is passionate about supporting children, youth, and adults as they navigate life’s ups and downs. I believe that healing happens in safe, creative, and compassionate spaces, and I bring this belief into every counselling session.
In my work, I use art, play and other expressive modalities to help people explore their needs, build coping skills, and discover new ways to move through challenges. I am trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and use this approach to equip clients with tangible skills to help with emotion regulation, interpersonal issues, to move through crisis effectively. I have a special focus on supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, self-esteem struggles, big life changes, and grief.
My recent background includes working in hospital settings alongside families facing loss and end-of-life experiences and with Mental Health and Addiction Services helping individuals navigate complex mental health diagnoses. These experiences deeply shaped my understanding of how resilient people can be, and the importance of meeting each person where they are at.
I use a trauma-informed lens and prioritize cultural safety in all of my work, ensuring that each person I meet feels respected, understood, and supported. I welcome you just as you are, with compassion and care, and I am here to support you in growing toward the healthiest and most authentic version of yourself.
I offer individual therapy sessions to individuals ages 8 and older.
