About Kariana

Hi, I’m Kariana!

I’m a registered social worker with experience supporting children and families. My approach to therapy is based in attachment theory with a strong understanding of trauma. I believe that sessions are most successful when the developmental stage of the child is considered.

I incorporate play and art into sessions in order to make therapy an engaging and enjoyable experience for the child. I believe trust and strong rapport is an important part of the therapeutic relationship, both with the child and the parents/caregivers.

My areas of interest include anxiety, self-esteem, grief and loss, social skills and changes to the family structure (separation, adding new siblings, etc).

I’m excited to be providing child and youth counselling, parent/caregiver counselling and family counselling.
